The BBC chose the new home of the Trocadero Wurlitzer as the backdrop to their political discussion show. There was some great footage of the interior, with the organ garage being much in prominence. The show was transmitted on Thursday 12th January and can be seen on BBC iPlayer. Link to iPlayer: http://www.bbc.co.uk/i/b019hc6b/ |

Steve Tovey, Wolverhampton City Organist, is sponsoring a very special concert to help raise funds to install the Trocadero Wurlitzer in the Troxy. Steve has very generously offered to donate the proceeds of a show at Wolverhampton Civic Hall to the Troxy Fund. The event is being organised by Steve and popular Midlands dance-organist Cameron Lloyd. This is a wonderful gesture by Steve and his team, and the Troxy team are immensely grateful to him for his generosity, and to the artists, who have given their services for nothing. Please come and support this event in your hundreds. Wolverhampton is right in the middle of England, and is easy to get to from all over the place. Admission is only £5, so please make a note in your diary now, come to the show, and help put your mightiest Wurlitzer into the best possible venue!

Throughout the summer, the Trust fundraising team have been approaching a range of grant giving organisations both large and small. As a result, on the 28th November 2011 we were very pleased to receive a £500 grant from The Theatre Organ Club Goodwin Fund. This grant has arrived at just the right time, and will be very helpful in funding the work programme for early 2012, which is in the final stages of detailed planning. Our grateful thanks go to our colleagues in The Theatre Organ Club. GN - 1st December 2011 |
